As some of you may know, I now have a new job which takes up a large chunk of my time. It happened pretty fast. I sent in my resume via e-mail one Wednesday, had an interview Friday, and was brought in for my two-week trial on tuesday. Before the trial was even over, I was hired. Not a bad deal. I work for a company called Magitch. you won't find them in google. They are a new division of a company called the media power group (www.themediapowergroup.com). I work wth Agmented reality. I won't even try to explain it. Just look it up in youtube. I pretty much deal with a lot of graphic design, illustration and concept design, and web design. I was also randomly put on the GUI design for the OS for the Gizmondo (google it) which will be re-launched this year. The company is a lot of fun, since most of the kids are SCAD grads.
This is basically sucking up any and all time I would spend on artwork. When I com home the last thing I feel like doing is drawing or being anywhere near my computer. Now that I have a steady and good paycheck though, my cintiq will be well on it's way after I get a new car. Maybe with a cintiq, I will be more inclined to draw and stuff. At the very least, animate.
